First writing....
Hey guys! Sorry I don't have much time to update, I just thought I would share my english work with you guys. It is going to be the first story work from me. I say I have a bit of a connection to my man characters. Wasula is based a bit off of me, and Chayton kind of reminded me of an old friend. I wish I could have done better, my characters deserved better but we work with what we got. I hope you enjoy the story, it was going to be longer and better but it is due Friday and I could only fit it in tonight. Well here is the link.....
Wasula- Hair Storm
I have been reading but haven't finished any thing yet. I hope to have one done by the end of the week. I also hope you guys have been enjoying the view counter, many of my friends have told me it was nice. Our group did really good at A vous la parole. We got second place even thought I swear I screwed up my solo. To make up for that I thought I would try to do a solo song for our Pop concert for choir. I just can't decide what to do, you think it would be easy but with 712 songs on my Ipod... I can't choose just one! I will try to tell you guys if I get to perform and what the song is. Speaking of songs, I am so sorry that I keep forgetting the Kelly Clarkson songs. I will try and get them but it may be June when I get to them. I have also forgotten my song highlights of the month! I am so sorry, I know I have apologized before but I truly hate being late about things. Well I need to get going... Talk To You All Later! -Kaitlynn

Sorry................................................
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting this week, I have been so busy! The tech week for our play,my homework piled up, been worried about my uncle ( so glad he didn't go to the Boston marathon),and life decided to take a week and hate me. But don't worry I have been reading in any free time. So today I another 2 for 1 deal because I don't time to review my books before I have to return them. Oh! We have hit 300 views! Thanks guys, couldn't have done it with out you all, our local library, and the authors that write books! Well I have some news for you guys, in July I am moving. Don't worry I going to find one of my good friends who has spare time to update. I will try keep them updated and I hope that they keep you guys up to date. This up coming week is going to be crazy, Mom is having surgery, A vous la parole is Tuesday, and crew for the play takes up my after school time. well before I bore you all.... ON TO THE REVIEWS!!!!!!!!
Shadow breakers by Daniel Blythe
Our story opens in in Firecroft Bay a small harbor town. Miranda and her family moves there not long after her fathers death. Soon as she gets there strange unexplainable things start to happen, like freezing buses and exploding computers. Her new friend jade has her secrets, her other group of friends keep theirs. Mystery, Adventure, and Science? Are all in store in this book.
I rate this book 4/5 stars. I thought it was pretty good, except the fact that it was more like a journal than an actual story. Other than that it was a good book, it threw in so many twists and turns that when the ending came around I was surprised.
Iron Hearted Violet by Kelly Barnhill
Our story starts in the Andulan Realms with the birth of a princess. Princess violet doesn't look like all the other princess. Your typical princess is pretty, perfect, and has long hair & small feet. Violet has mixed matched eyes, untamable hair, and refuses to be like a normal princess. When Violet and her friend Demetrius find a hidden room their lives change forever. Action, mystery, and adventure are in store in this engrossing story.
I rate this book 4/5 stars (again). It was very good but it was in the story keepers point of view. Not that it was bad, it just made it a bit less fun to read. Other than that it was a very good story and I hope you guys enjoy it.
Well guys, I hope you enjoyed my reviews. Sorry they were short but it was all I had time to do. If you haven't noticed yet I found a way to get a view counter on the right side of my blog! Now you don't have to wait for me to tell you how many views we are at. I don't know how it works exactly but at least it works. Well if i don't post this week I am sorry but I am going to be so busy. I will try to make up for that on Saturday if I can. I also keep forgetting those songs I promised, I will get them when I find time. Other than that I hope you guys have a good week and find good books to read. Talk To You All Later! - Kaitlynn

Update to Update
Hey! We are almost to 300 page views! Well OK, there are still 7 more till 300 but you know close enough! Just so we know don't tell my science teacher I am doing this during his class. I am supposed to be working on "What did a T-Rex taste like?". I some what finished it but I forgot to turn in my english assignment and then I lost complete interest in finishing it. I will tell you what I tell my bus buddy ( she is in I think 2nd or 3rd grade.) "I am a bad example please don't follow me." I really suggest you don't do what I am doing right now. OK so on to some book talk..... The next book I am reading is Shadow Breakers by Daniel Blythe. I am about half way through, I don't know if I want to finish it or not. My next book is sitting at home on our T.V. stand. Other than that I don't have any other books lined up, but I have a huge test coming up so I should possibly find something huge to read. They are state reading tests so I will have about two hours to read. The will be about two to three books, UNLESS they are really big books. I guess I should put more books on hold. Some times I wonder the librarians ever get tired of seeing me! I some times think of asking them but don't because I rather like going to our library. If you have a book I should put on hold suggest it in the comments, the comment box should work for every one. That is kind of a lie, I found out from one of my best friends Desi ( you'll meet her later) that you could look at my blog on your phone or Ipod! I really don't know how to fix the commenting issue on the phones/Ipod since I really have never worked with them in this area. Hey, at least you can keep updated on my latest posts! I still haven't found my calculator, I checked the black hole that is my backpack, the black hole that is my house, and almost every class I am in. Well except for science, I'll ask after this. If you guys have any ideas on things I could do for my blog I am more than happy to hear them. I am also more than happy to hear about ways of fixing the Ipod /phone problem, and any things you find wrong in my blog. I have mixed feelings about tonight thou, (you may find this silly) I want to watch the latest episode of transformers prime but I don't know if I could handle watching it. I don't know if I could handle losing an important character but if I skip the episode then I don't know what happens next time! Oh! I really have to get going! Talk To You Later! -Kaitlynn
English news thing........
Sorry for those who are waiting for my latest review, I haven't finished my next book and I have to do an english assignment really quickly. I hope you find it interesting! It is my most favorite magazine, I got it from my Amma who I hope to visit soon.
Archaeology (March/April 2009)
In this magazine there are about 13 articles. They range from uncovering the dead to looting problems. This issue mostly focuses on archaeological digs and the pasts of them. So if you want to know more about they archaeological digs that are threaten by global warming, just turn to page 32. IF you want to learn about a priestess of Amun turn to page 36. Or if you want to learn about the grave of the Middle east's oldest witch, turn to page 30. This has some thing for just about every one and is fairly simple to understand. The audience for Archaeology is probably for people between 18 and possibly 80. Or for any one interested in our past history. The reason I think this is because most people who are 18 and older love to know about some part of our past. This magazine covers a little bit of every thing. I also think that it is the same for people who love history, there is always some thing for some one.
A Mummy's Life by Eti Bonn-Muller- This is one of the articles I mentioned before.(only cause it might just be my favorite!) In this article the describe the life of an Egyptian priestess of Amun. Her name was Meresamun, and she worked at the temple of Karnak in Thebes. They talk about the "mummy", what things she might have had, and her life. Also the recreate her face, (shown in the link below.) to what it could have been at that time.
Grave of the Middle East's Oldest Witch by Mati Milstein- In this article they cover the dig in Hilazon Tachtit (northern Israel). They go over the first couple digs there and what was found. They also try to figure out why she had such a elaborate tomb when the Natufians didn't even do it for any of their other dead.
Climate Change: Sites in Peril by Andres Curry- In this article they tell us about the effects of global warming on dig sites. They cover the Scythian tombs, rainstorms in Peru, The desertification of the Sudan, Retreating Swiss Glaciers, erosion in the Channel Islands, and melting sea ice in Greenland. Each is it's own "mini" article and talks about what is happening in that area.
As mentioned before the people at Archaeology recreated Meresamun, an Egyptian priestess. Well they recreated her face. I think that it some what helps me understand what the article is talking about. The reason is that Egyptian priestess where picked for their beauty, so for them to recreate her face it give me a better understanding on how her looks got her farther in life. So I think that by seeing her face it helps people understand what the article says about her life.
Unwrapping Priestess of Amun
If the link doesn't work can you tell me so I can fix it. Other than that I just want to say that this is probably one of my most favorite magazines. It ranks pretty high up with Quizfest and Astrogirl. (The only other magazines I will read.) It covers alot of the things I love. Like Egyptian life, Roman life, Archaeological digs, and the list goes on. It was kind of nice to know more about the life of the priestess of Egypt and the Romans oil trades. I hope that you all enjoyed this, I really must get going. Talk To You All Later!-Kaitlynn

Two For One!
Hello, yet again. I am again so sorry that my last review was posted late, and I am sorry for posting this one late also. I have had this book done since last week Wednesday but haven't had time to post because of homework and a ton of people quiting crew for our play. I have also been brainstorming in what little free time I have and have come up with some ideas for my blog. But you all are going to have to wait to see them. I also have to at some point in time tell my family what I would like for my birthday, but I have until May 29th to tell them. I think it may be important to tell you guys that my birthday is May 30th. I am going to try to find a good mis-adventure for my birthday. I am so glad you guys have been enjoying them. I know you guys have been waiting for a song or two from my latest CD find, I just haven't had time to find any. Sorry again this is out way later than wanted I have decided that I will give you guys a two for one deal because I have finished another book. Well before I promise more than I can handle, on to the reviews!
Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
Our story opens with Ember (our main character) and her friends, in our some what near future. A future where every thing is controlled by the "government" and their Moral Statutes (see below). Ember and her mother break every one of the articles of the moral statutes. They have so far been living under the radar in their house full of contraband until one day it all changes. The moral statutes are updated and they come after Ember. Soldiers come to her home with an unlikely person in their mist. Chase her old friend, who sits idly and watches her go to a reformatory. Will Ember ever get out? Action, adventure, high stakes, and a bit of a love story are in store for this high stakes story.
I rate this book 5/5. Even though I wasn't planning on reading this, I was kind of glad I did. I am kind of glad that I found out that there is a second book!
London Eye by Tim Lebbon
Our story opens in a city just out side of what was London. What is left of London now is a wild city full of people with incredible powers. Two years before the time of the story London was hit by a huge chemical. Most people died, the people who lived had strange powers and are called irregulars. Jack and his friends head into London to find answers, people who were lost, and to see for them selves what it is like. High stakes adventures, love, danger, and pure curiosity hang around every corner. Who will make it out alive?
I rate this a 3.5/5. I thought it was good near the end but I got really confused with the dialogue some times, and the first half of the book I just found really boring. I hope the second one comes out soon. I have feeling that the next one may be a bit better.
Well guys hope you enjoyed my reviews! I have to go get more paint off of my hands and try to find my calculator! I can't find it any where, well I have had it since I was in 4th grade so I guess I shouldn't be to sad. Half of the buttons don't work right any way, the screen was slightly broken, and the rest of the buttons are colored in a light pink. (Well the reason it is a light pink is because I lent it out for some one and that's how I got it back.) Well I really need to go, Talk To You All Later! - Kaitlynn

Clockwork.......
I finished Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. But we can get to that later, it is April! I hope to get close to the 144 views that I got last month. Or at least half, which would be 72 views. Oh, today I went to a job fair. Turns out by doing this blog I am over half way there to being a web site designer. But I also learned how to edit pictures, use a sound board, and many other things. My old friends would be so proud of me, I have really bad stage fright, it keeps me from doing lots of things. I talked to at least 4 new people today, I will never see them again but I feel proud. Moving on before I bore you all. My next book I am reading is called Article 5 by Kristen Simmons. I couldn't find any thing to read at our library and none of my book I have on hold are coming in. I found this book and thought it sounded good. You guys are going to have to wait to hear about it thought because I am not done with it yet. Well on to my review.
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
We start off right where we left off in Clockwork Prince. Tessa and Jem are going to get married, Will and his sister are arguing constantly, and many other things. If you remember ( if you read the last book...) the Lightwoods father has demon pox, which makes a huge splash in the story with in the first few chapters. As we go thought the book we go on an adventure, find love ( or keep up with it...), lose who is important, get important people back, and learn more about the shadow world. From beginning to end this book will hold your attention and cause you to have many emotional break downs.
I rate this book a 5/5 stars. It was a great book, I just about broke down crying in class once or twice. It is sad to see such a great book series come to an end. I am sorry the review is short, I don't want to ruin the book for all of you who have yet to read it. If you want to know more about the book I guess you could read it. I would lend it to you all but well I think that it would be a little to hard to do through the computer, plus I would be afraid of never getting it back! Not that I don't trust you guys, I just have a hard time lending out my books....
Sorry this is out later than I wanted it to be. I had this done on Tuesday but didn't have time to post until now. I also have Article 5 done, I will try to find time later to post my review. Well I have to get going, Talk To You All Later! -Kaitlynn
